Well....

IN CASE you didn't KNOW... you are talking to an INDIANAPOLIS COLTS fan... been one for 10 years.

now, to the matter at hand

while my emotion tells me that my colts are the best.... ill look at this without emotion.

i'd have to say UNTIL the patriots are beaten, you can't say they aren't the best....

1. Patriots
2. Steelers
3. Colts
4. Eagles
5. Ravens

and you want a sleeper pick???

I really dont watch enough to pick 5 teams....but I've got to agree that the Patriots are number one until they are knocked off.

To be the man, you gotta beat the man.

We live within a hour's drive of Indy and are going to see my beloved Browns take on the Colts, in Sept.
Should be a great game and it's interesting that the Browns are 2-0 in preseason while the Colts are 0-3. But preseason means nothing........
ANYONE but the Patriots this year!!!!!!!

The only time the browns will be going to the superbowl, is everytime some big drunk guy says the infamous,

"Time to take the browns to the superbowl"

as he is heading to the crapper.

LOL! I do agree. I remember when the browns came back to the NFL. They wanted to have the best season in the entire history of the franchise.......and lost their first 10 games.

As for answering this question...there really is no answer cause the year hasn't started yet. We've only been through 2 weeks of preseason games. Although, I do hope my Vikings will make some sort of a mark in the playoffs during the post-Moss w/ revamped defense era. It'll take some time and we might not get it right away...but the talent is there.

LOl. I will overlook you guys' rude remarks about the Browns.
It's easy to kick a team when they're down, easy to root for a team that wins a lot.
For loyalty, tho, the Dawgpound is unsurpassed. And win or lose, we sure enjoy ourselves on a perfect fall day...
Remember, no one stays on top forever.... and no one stays bad forever.
PS. Any team that would have Randy Moss playing for them is one sorry group. Next to Terrell Owens, he has got to be the biggest disgrace in the NFL. You will NEVER see him, or players like him ,at OUR stadium. We are not that desperate, and willing to wait for good things and work for them, rather than make spectacles and laughingstocks out of ourselves by having a jerk like THAT.

I must say that the loyalty of Browns fans is laudable, however the most loyal fans in the NFL are clearly Packers fans. I would like to cite a few examples. First, the Packers sell out all their games, even in bad years. The waiting list for season tickets is has many thousands of names, and there are only about five available season tickets a season. All the rest are renewed. The last time there was a game that was not sold out was before the Lombardi era. There were some years in the 1970's and the 1980's when the Packers had some pretty untalented teams, but the fans never left them. The Packers even sell out scrimmages in the pre-season. There are Packers fans all over the world. They leave Wisconsin, but they never leave the Packers.

Weather is not a deterrent to Packers fans. Rain Snow or cold do not cause empty seats in Lambeau Field, even in losing years. The frozen tundra always fills up on game day. We know that even in the worst years, it is a monumental task for anyone to beat the Packers in December or January if we can only get them to Lambeau. Ask San Francisco, or Dallas what a game in Lambeau in the playoffs is like. Remember the Ice Bowl, with a kick-off temperature of -13 degrees, and not an empty seat in the house.

Go to any away game, and any unsold seats will be snapped up by Packers fans. Games in Tampa used to have thousands of Packers fans. It was almost another home game. I could go on for hours, but really, as loyal as the Browns fans are, it is cheeseheads who are most loyal.

This I know, imagineer, and I admire them for this.

And as for the great Vince Lombardi, to me, he will always be the ultimate coach, the ultimate sportsman. He made Green Bay"Titletown, USA.", and the "frozen tundra" legendary.

Randy Moss the player is awesome. Any team would love to have him for that. But Randy Moss the person is no team player. Good thing he's gone and out of Minnesota. Now Nate Burleson (and Troy Williamson when he gets himself up and running) can run away with it all.

As for Terrell Owens, he's just a big baby that needs his bottle. Better give him what he wants, or he'll go cry to mommy.

Vince Lombardi was one of a kind. The best thing he did though is the least remembered. He was the one who invited the children of Green Bay to come to the practices at training camp, and asked them to bring their bikes to give the players rides across the street to the locker room. This tradition continues to this day. Many a child has known the pride of having had that special player sit on his bike for that distance. It is something truly special.

I am not ahamed to say that I loved Vince Lombardi. And my Dad, lifelong Bears fan, cried when he heard that he had died.
I have vivid memories of seeing on TV Vince prowl the sidelines at Lambeau, the great matchups between the Packers and Papa Bear Halas, the Ice Bowl--to me, the greatest game ever played.
If Vince had run for President, he would have gotten my vote--and many others! Never was there a man who could motivate like he did, bring out the absolute best in his players. He would have made a fine president.
On a side note, we know how he said that "Three in a Row" would never be done again. The Patriots have now won 2. I am hoping that Vince was correct(as he usually was) and the Packers' tremendous feat will stand.
