Cindy is doing what 18 million disabled veterans would like to do if they had her support and agility--DEMONSTRATE!
Bush has done more harm to disabled veterans in this administration than LBJ, Nixon and Carter ever thought of!.
HR303 the veterans bill to eliminate the veterans tax on disabled vets sits in committee again and will die in this 109th session of Congress because GWB refuses to sign the full restoration of pay for disabled vets. As is now, a disabled vet must have his V.A. comp DEDUCTED from his military retirement before he can receive medical treatment. The facts are all over the net--America just does not know what this guy has actually done to the veterans of America. See all those photo ops with the military? You know how those happen? You do if you have ever done a day of military service. When a VIP comes to the base and the base commander wants to show all this "military support" he simply says "All that attend the Senator's speech today may take the rest of the day off from your work locations. Check in, attend the speach and go home"
Pretty simple eh? Just look the next time you see Rummy or better yet ( and you NEVER will see Rove, Chu or Precipi) look at the faces of the people in the background. Do they look like they are cardboard cutouts or do they look like guys waiting on the final applause so they can hit the gate??
Then, look at http://www.vets-r-us.com and http://www.wesupportthevets.com for the rest of the facts.

Some comments about Clinton and Bosnia by the republicans

"You can support the troops but not the president."
-Rep Tom Delay (R-TX)

"Well, I just think it's a bad idea. What's going to happen is they're going to be over there for 10, 15, maybe 20 years."
-Joe Scarborough (R-FL)

"Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their life?"
-Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/6/99

"[The] President . . . is once again releasing American military might on a foreign country with an ill-defined objective and no exit strategy. He has yet to tell the Congress how much this operation will cost. And he has not informed our nation's armed forces about how long they will be away from home. These strikes do not make for a sound foreign policy."
-Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA)

"American foreign policy is now one huge big mystery. Simply put, the administration is trying to lead the world with a feel-good foreign policy."
-Rep Tom Delay (R-TX)

"If we are going to commit American troops, we must be certain they have a clear mission, an achievable goal and an exit strategy."
-Karen Hughes, speaking on behalf of George W. Bush

"I had doubts about the bombing campaign from the beginning . . I didn't think we had done enough in the diplomatic area."
-Senator Trent Lott (R-MS)

"I cannot support a failed foreign policy. History teaches us that it is often easier to make war than peace. This administration is just learning that lesson right now. The President began this mission with very vague objectives and lots of unanswered questions. A month later, these questions are still unanswered. There are no clarified rules of engagement. There is no timetable. There is no legitimate definition of victory. There is no contingency plan for mission creep. There is no clear funding program. There is no agenda to bolster our over-extended military. There is no explanation defining what vital national interests are at stake. There was no strategic plan for war when the President started this thing, and there still is no plan today"
-Rep Tom Delay (R-TX)

"Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is."
-Governor George W. Bush (R-TX)

Funny thing is, that war was won without a single soldier killed in action...

well, it was still an honor, he was the President, and I have respect for the office, no matter who is in there.

Btw, what exactly was the purpose of going into Bosnia, Kosovo, and Somalia?

Travh20
08-22-2005, 10:16 AM
it had to be the oil. they were going to run a big new pipeline through the balkans to the sea, so we ha to secure the area first so none of the profit would be lost. and in Somalia they discoverd large deposits of oil so we had to go in there and secure them, but, the brave resistance fighters drove us out.

Same old argument, different guy posting. The government is out to cut benefits, it's out to screw people, they aren't spending enough money on the needy. This kind of stuff has been going on with Social Security and welfare for the past 40 years, Lame, lame, lame.

I wish Cindy would understand something.
I'm no militray expert, and don't pretend to know the inner workings of the Pentagon and the government. Sometimes I wonder exactly who the real enemy IS--but I will say this--her son did not die in vain. I cannot forget that they brought the war here, and so we took it there...and since then, we have not been attacked again, so Casey died to protect his homeland, a very honorable cause in my mind. Did we attack the wrong country? I don't know--maybe we just consider them "Axis"?? And maybe they ARE.

Rednova- You got some ignorence stuck between you teeth..."They brought it here" So please do explain before I call you a half-wit...who is they?

The government has always screwed the people to benfit corporations. The current administration just doesn't really care about hiding that fact.

This is beside the point of the posting. Verterans benefits is hat we are talking about...You know Supporting the Troops...and yes that includes after they are no longer waiting to catch a bullet.

You're half right, guerrilla. My post belongs on another thread. Not enough java this AM? Could be, and maybe the admin will move to another "Cindy" thread.
I stand by my other statements tho. And by "they" I mean the Axis. By "brought it here", I mean September 11.
Truly, truly sad that people have forgotten that.

I doubt any American will ever forget 9/11. This "axis" that GW speaks of do not work together or support each other so saying that "they" the "Axis" are responsible for 9/11 is rediculous. Osama and his terrorist organization was responsible. Not Iraq, not, sadamn, not the Iraqi people., not Korea, not the Korean people and not the government of Korea.

That's like blamimg everyone in the family because one son murdered someone.

Well, let's pretend that spreading democracy was the original intent of this administration prior to the war and not to find Saddam's fantastical weapons with which he was poised to attack us at any moment.
If W is such a big proponent of it, why is he careful to deliver his scripts only to friendly, flag-waving audiences like the VFW and the Nat'l Guard? Why are he and his handlers going out of their way to avoid situations in which there might be any dissent?
Isn't that the hallmark of any democracy? Or do they think it starts and ends on election day?

Are we absolutely 100% sure of this?
that is, that they DON'T work together? The Middle Eastern terrorists? Our intelligence has been known to make mistakes before. This is what disturbs me--CAN we be sure of this?

Come on, this is the guy who was too chicken shit to go into the regular military at a time when we were at war, instead choosing to allow his daddy to buy him a space in the nationsl guard where he could stay home and be safe. Of course he is afraid of disent. He's afraid of a 5"3" womans questions, he's afraid to allow people who don't sign an oath of allegience to him to enter any area where he is speaking, he's afraid of his own shadow because he knows what evil he has done and he knows that half the country is aware of it.

Isn't that the hallmark of any democracy? Or do they think it starts and ends on election day?

If you believe you actually had a say in the last two elections when you voted, I have some beach front property ro sell you in the florida everglades.

I believe anyone that voted in the last two elections had absolutely no input into the outcome. Dem or Rep. It was already decided before the polls opened. Call it whatever you want trav, however I am not the only one who feels this way. Now that America is seeing the gw's missuses of power and baseball bat diplomacy more than half of America has woken up to the fact that he is a liar.

You can thank him for putting Hillary into office in 08. After 8 years of gw jr, the reps won't be able to put anyone in the oval office for quite a while.

They cut their own throats with this asshole.
