I think it is a prerequisite for the profession.

It was my understanding that he was serving a 35 year term. I could be wrong though.

I saw their family on the news this morning begging him to turn himself in and not kill anymore innocent people.

Yes, he had served 2 years of a 35 year sentence, and if he'd behaved himself, he prob would've served only half that long, or less.
Some criminals get my sympathy. This pair does not!
