N E W Y O R K, May 1, 2001 In the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba.

Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities.

It wasn't the first time our government made plans to harm Americans just to get us in a war, it it won't be the last. As long as we have people in the white house and congress that care more about making war than about U.S. citizens it will continue to happen. War mongering is a republican trait, the entire republican party is built upon trying to make America the biggest bully on the planet. They are evil, self serving, narrow minded people who will do anythingto advance their cause. Including allowing terrorist attacks to happen in the U.S. in order to justify a war.
