It's a p2p share network. It's pretty good, though a lot of songs and videos are corrupt.

Personally if i was going to download songs for free, then i would use BitTorrent and download the entire album as there all there and of good quality.

Limewire sucks...too much spyware...suuure it says it doesn't have it, but do a scan with PestPatrol and you'll find shitloads...

I love limewire. I can find ANY remix/song. And it downloads pretty quickly, too.

Smaller selection than some others, and often corrupt files. But effiecient and dependable, not to mention fast.

BitTorrent > Limewire
I just don't trust Limewire due to all the spyware on it. I've never tried it personally and I doubt I will, so I can't say much on Limewire's speed, but BitTorrent is safe and reliable in my opinion if you have good torrent sites to go to.

I've never heard of BitTorrent-- but I use Limewire once and a while but I heard that it's not really safe for PCs because of viruses--I'm way too virus phobic

Lime Wire's alright, but I miss the good old days of Audio Galaxy, that was my favorite non-Napster filesharing site.

I love limewire. I can find pretty much any song on there and the quality is super.
I've never head of bittorrent; is it a free service?
All of this virus talk is making me nervous....

Do you like napster? Someone sent me this www.getthewholething.com site - cool music and cute girl...I guess... but there is a free trial that I was thinking about trying- I use limewire now but I'd rather not risk getting a virus.
