I guess we wont be seeing him again...
Reason for ending it?

OMG! I was reading this the same time Conan made fun of it.

Anyway...

I thought he was rumored to reprise his role as Indy's dad in Indiana Jones 4?

Their age difference doesn't look so great anymore, I mean Harrison is in what, his 50s? And Connery is in his 70s(and they both look it), that's not a big enough difference for Connery to play Harrison's dad anymore...

It would almost need a Mafia-like offer I couldn't refuse to do another movie."

So we just have to bundle him into a van, blindfold him, take him to a secluded location underground, sit him at a desk with one lightbulb lit above his head and ask him to do the movie?

That's a good point....although it is even worse when Connery is romancing all these young women in his movies. (excluding Catherine Zeta Jones in "entrapment" --she's use to older loving)

Hes like..awesome...., but there may be a chance yet! There is talk of Ewan McGregor (possibly....probably not, but there is a chance) becoming the new James Bond.

Only if he plays Bond dying! The James Bond days are over.

Nope. No Ewan McGregor or Clive Owen or Jude Law. It was already decided several months ago that Daniel Craig is up for the part in Casino Royale, the next bond film(but this casting decision is still subject to change as principal photography has yet to begin). Catch Craig in Layer Cake this summer.
In my honest opinion, the bond days are ending. The movies' quality and sales are declining, and it is getting rather boring.
Bond needs to end, and soon.

No one has done it lke Connery, and so they should have stopped it there.

My original guess was Clive Owen (whom I would probably still put money on) but now that Jude Law is running through women faster than a honry bullet train, his real life personality might make him a more marketable Bond.

I had no idea. Better, I suppose, to leave the stage while still in demand rather than carry on to an embarrassing and dissappointing ending.

What do expect me to do, Goldfinger?

I expect you to die, Mr. Bond.
