Sundays...alot of the reason we get those off from work is a large amount of Christians worship on that day and refuse to work.
So that got me thinking:
Do you think a deity(or several deities, or some sort of higher power) exists?
Why or why not?(A topic like this anything is fair game, so prepare for mudslinging)
Good luck in your debate!

My view on it is this: Although we have limited understanding of the universe since science and technology is just starting to help us untangle its mysteries, it is difficult to pick a side.
Certainly a deity who involves itself in the workings of the world would not be sensible to me.
Although...
We are with boundaries in our thoughts, we cannot truly imagine or feel infinite time, infinite space. Lack of light or dark, or even nonexistance of matter.
I believe the fact that we have boundaries on which we can go is evidence of something going on behind the scenes.
As i stated in another thread:
a clock are given boundaries by the clockmaker (number of hours, hands, etc).
Science is opening doors and answering questions, but there are some places we cannot go.
So i would say yes that i believe in some sort of higher power.
But thats just my opinion
What yours?

You're asking a very wide question with the thread name, "Sunday." And by the way--I dont know many Christians who "refuse to work" on Sunday. I dont like to work during church hours (so I can attend)...but I do work.

Why or why not?(A topic like this anything is fair game, so prepare for mudslinging) It's too simple a concept to explain the deep wonders of the universe. Also when you probe people's meanings of "higher power" it just never adds up. Hence we often learn "it is above our understanding" or "there are things beyond our ken". All the more reason to disregard bite-sized rationalisations involving god and spirits, IMO.
