Has anyone here ever read anything by Dean Koontz? If you like Stephen King, you might like Dean Koontz, although his books arent nearly as creepy or disturbing as Stephen Kings.

i've read quite a few of dean koontz's books also. and even though they may not contain the same "creepiness" as a stephen king novel, they make for great reading in my opinion.

My favorite book by Dean Koontz was about a dog named Einstein whose intelligence was genetically enhanced but I can't remember if it was "Watchers" or "Strangers". It was one of the first books that made me cry at one point. *blushes with embarrassment* It was really A great story.

We must have very similar taste in books. Yes, Havok, as a matter of fact I have read "Interview with the vampire" and I think one called "Lasher". I read "Interview" when I was very young and think it is much better than the movie. I just couldnt picture Tom Cruise as Lestat.

i absolutely agree on your assessment of tom cruise as "Lestat".....i mean, come on now. Lestat was portrayed as a 6' tall blond in the book, and the last i heard of tom, he was pushing 5'8"....... But, in all, i think he did a pretty good job in the movie. The only reason i bring up Anne Rice is that i just finished her latest installment in the vampire series, "Blood and Gold" It focuses mainly on the character Marius and his life's exploits. Great reading if you have enjoyed any of the other books.

Well, I just finished reading Dean Koontz' "By the Light of the Moon". It was rather interesting and sometimes funny. The ending left things kinda "up in the air" though. A sequel would be good.

It is about a man and his autistic brother and a female comedian who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. A mysterious man injects them with something(they are being used like guinea pigs) that he says will either be very good or very bad for them and that others(I guess from the government) will be coming after them now to destroy them. So they have to go on the run together and alot of weird and amazing things start to happen to them. It was interesting and like I said, sometimes it was funny. I was reading in the newspaper that it is #10 on the fiction bestseller list right now. It was hard to say anymore without giving to much away.
