So, what do you all think about that San Andreas sex thing? You know, where you enter the code, the lady asks you if you want coffee (which, in Ghettotown USA, means you're gonna get lucky), and you get extra cream with it? Haha I just said that...
Anyways, I wanted to buy it at Wal Mart but they took ALL 3 (Vice City, III, and San And) off. Damn them!

they get in the car, it rocks side to side, your life goes up.

Okay you are way off on this one, buddy. I'm talking about San Andreas where the lady asks you into her house for some coffee. Then there's a code or whatever and next thing you know you're on a bed and the lady's naked in front of you. She gets on her...get it? The car one is funny, too. But your money goes down...you can just kill the prostitute though...

The thing that really gets me is that the game got fairly little attention before Sen. Clinton took this up as her pet cause. GTA is fine when the character is "just" and murderer and thief, but God forbit that it shows a sex scene that would garner but a standard R-rating if it was a movie.
It is a pretty sad statement about our society that the extreme violence is more or less overlooked, but a small bit of sex causes Senators to go on a "crusade" against the games.
I have all three GTA games and believe that they are the most violent video games ever made, but they are also damn fun. That being said, I only play GTA after my kids are in bed; they (the games) are for adults and shouldn't by played by kids. But I think the "Adults Only" rating that all future copies of GTA will contain is a bit extreme. The "Mature" (17+) rating is sufficient since parents should pay more attention to what their young children are doing.
I saw the sex scene clip from the earlier link and hardly thought it was "pornographic." I've seen things in recent movies that is much more graphic and revealing. Take "Team America: World Police" for example. The movie had puppet sex (and very explicit puppet sex for that matter) and still carried the R-rating.
I think the GTA flap is just another way that the morality police is deciding that we, as intelligent people, cannot make informed judgements without their help.

Good post. My thought is these people have to justify some weak reason for them to actually continue to have their job.

I think the sex is a weird thing to focus on. I mean afterall, it's a game about STEALING CARS and KILLING POLICEMAN WITH A HAMMER!!!!!!....but um, SEX which is the only above that is legal when you get to a certain age is grounds for it to be taken off the shelf.
