I'd expect no more of a guy who thinks chain letters are profitable.

You're right; That was a bit of a low blow over something you retracted. I apologize. You deserve a little credit just for being able to admit when you think you're wrong. That's more than most of us can say:)

The argument that the U.S. is just after war spoils pisses me off tho. I have a lot of pride in my country even if I don't support everything my government does. One of the major sources of that pride is the fact that I believe the U.S. is constantly at the very least TRYING to do what's right. There's a lot to be said for that when you're easily the most dominant nation on the planet. Over the course of history, nations/empires with the sort of power the U.S. has now have abused that power a great deal more than the U.S. ever has IMO. The argument the U.S. should pipe down, sit back, and let the chips fall where they may stems from a bunch of bandwagoners spoiled by the fact that the U.S. has generally changed the world into a better place to live. I think that position is so insulting that I support it, just so we can see those same people come crying to us for help when the sh*t hits the fan.

A common trait of wild-eyed zealots is their stupidity which prevents them from seeing the sh!t on their faces.

The U.S. hardly makes everything better. You think as if they have the Midas touch or something. THe U.S. must learn that messing with the Muslim usually brings about dire consequences. THey will NOT be conquered(Look at history). If Bush doesn't get that thru his head alot of good men will be dead soon and we might have another Vietnam...

I am not really sure what Bush's motives are. I dont think it is oil. I think it is really hard not to be wary after the tragedy of 9/11. I just wish we could stand back and let the UN do it's job. I love my country and I do believe we are a force for good. But as I have posted previously, I am tired of the US taking the heat for every conflict we are involved in, even when our allies are involved. I would love just once to see our Allies take a more proactive role (only after the UN agrees) and make this an EQUAL endeavor between the allies. In other words, not US vs. the world. I do believe Saddam Hussein is a dangerous tyrant, but I dont think war is warranted YET.

Tent-

The only zealot on this board is you. You seem eager for bloodshed of and hostility toward everyone, particularly Jews and excluding Muslims Your extreme biases are obvious. Ironically, your quote is most aptly applied to yourself.

Jw-

Compare the world before U.S. became a "superpower" to after U.S. became a "superpower." Technological advances, life expectancy, quality of lifestyle, infrequency of warfare, and general health have all increased across the planet.

Let me be clear. There is no doubt the U.S. has made plenty of mistakes and committed many injustices in its history. However, nations are no more perfect than people and the FACT is the U.S. is a generall a force of good.

And the U.S. is not trying to conquer Muslims. That is the message/lie spread by Hussein and bloodthirsty, jihad-happy Muslims who want to promote their poverty-stricken and oppressed societies.

Don't make a mistake about which side has good intentions. The U.S. trying to conquer "terrorism." I disagree with how we're going about it, but I have no doubt that that is the primary objective.

O.K. youre right that the U.S. has done alot of good but at what costs? Is any cost o.K. when youre trying to spread Your ideals. What we don't understand is they are a totally different culture with there own political sys. and customs. Democracy doesn't work for everyone in the world and the U.S. is trying to push Democracy unto the world at almost any cost. If it wasn't for that i could understand this war on terrorism. It seems to me this country has alterior motives...
