It seems that every year yet another book comes out purporting to uncover the "true" facts concerning the assassination of John Kennedy. Each is more bizarre than the last.

It is my belief that Oswald acted alone. It is certainly possible and even probable that one man, acting alone, can wreak such havoc and write his name in the history books. No "conspiracy" is necessary. Beside, you don't often see the CIA, the Cubans, the Dallas Police force, the KGB, AND the Mafia working together.

Gerald Posner's masterly book "Case Closed" dismantles the theories one by one with hard evidence. It's a scholarly work that looks at the facts and evidence only. If only the other authors would present their case with equally good evidence, instead of merely trying to make a buck and fuel the huge conspiracy market.

Conspiracy is so entertaining.

No one will ever truly know whether there was a conspiracy. The evidence is not sufficient to prove there was, but it isn't sufficient to prove there wasn't either. The principals are all dead, or soon will be. It will probably be debated by historians forever, but no one will ever truly know.

Conspiracy to kill him? Most likely.
Conspiracy to cover up the truth about who killed him? Absolutly.
I was alive and paying attention when it happened.

The term "grassy knoll" has come to reference conspiracy. It's probubly in a few dictionaries. If you do a search for it you will find hundreds of conspiracy web sites.

I was also alive, but only a baby.
What bothered Posner was how so many of the eye and ear witnesses have changed their stories over the years. He went with their original statements, made within hours of the actual shootings.
It has recently been proven that even an only above average marksman could have gotten off those shots in that time span, towards a moving target.
But, like people say, Oswald never talked much.We will never truly know for sure but all evidence points to Oswald alone.

i believe there was a conspiracy to kill Kennedy, but that oswald was the only shooter.

In AP history we watched a video done by either CBS or ABC news a few years ago that examined the possibility of Oswald being the only shooter.

The most interesting fact was this: They took 5 of the worlds best long range sharp shooters, and put them in the exact window that the witness said they had seen Oswald standing. They sent a model car down the street at the exact pace the motorcade would have been traveling at. Each marksmen fired three shots. Only one of which by a single shooter made contact.

Another conspiracy about JFK? Why not - they took him out for his brother's stance on the crime world, his policy about Castro, his views on equal rights - there have to be other "reasons" as well. Some maintain that he wasn' t buried in '63, but was kept alive & on some island owned by Onassis, finally passing sometime around '68 or so. Bring on another conspiracy!

Everything the government says is the complete and honest truth and anyone who says otherwise, regardless of the facts, is a loon.

Coca Cola, The Mafia, Major League Baseball, LBJ, Nixon, the entire US government, Elvis' ghost, Lee harvey oswald, the USSR, are all false!!!

Marilyn Monroe is the real culprit, during her affair with JFK, he told her of the roswell crash and therefore had to be killed.
