Is anyone else going to a midnight party?
Is anyone else excited?

I don't see much point in buying a book at midnight. But anyway, I'm hoping I can get my hands on a library copy reasonably soon, otherwise I might just go buy it.

I'm actually not a HUGE MEGAFAN. But it should be interesting:)

If it were a book I was a huge fan of (such as the Alex Cross novels) and I knew it would be this hard to get a copy, I would probably buy it at 12 at night. I'd be getting off work about then anyway.

I don't think it's going to be hard to get a copy.

For the Harry Potter Book? Are you crazy? I heard today that it was going to be the biggest selling book ever. I live in a tiny little town...and there are enough nerds filling the local hastings tonight for them to sell tickets just to be there to have a chance to buy the book. And then its going to be out of stock for 2-3 weeks after that due to advanced buys.

It's all about being able to read it along with all the other fans. Let me go back to the Alex Cross novels and how much I love them. I get them the day it comes out so I dont have to feel like I am finding out the ending after all the other loyal Cross fans have.

To speak the truth, I would rather read a Dean Koontz novel....maybe "Intensity" since that book was flucking creepy and I never got to finish it. I'm not buying one at midnight...my sister is..I'm patient. I can wait for it. hahahaha

I got my copy in the mail today. Read it in about 9 or 10 hours. It was very dark and very different from the other books. I can imagine millions of little kids will be having nightmares for the next few nights.
I thouroughly enjoyed the book, although it isn't as good as Goblet of Fire. It's very sad...I'm still sulking over the ending :(.

I thought the ending sucked ass. My mom picked up the book yesterday afternoon, I started reading it late last night, and I managed to finish it amidst interruptions about an hour ago. The only thing I'm curious after that ending is what the hell she can come up with now...
Gwendolyn Black
07-17-2005, 05:18 PM
I have to say...I thought it was good mainly because Harry was actually likable. He was just such a jerk in the last one.
I'm such a loser; I cried at the end. XD
