Those were two of the higher (or est) quality anime movies, most aren't too good but those blew away my standards of the genre. Alot of people won't like Metropolis, the art style and story are a bit odd, but so is Mononke's plotline. Check Mononke out, its a decent watch, if you like anime its a great watch.
