what do you think?

I think it will be even better when someone wants to marry themself, a stiff, pet, land. If I marry my property and the grass gets distroyed by a flood will this be covered by my health insurance? :D

Oh boy, here we go again.

I'm all for it. They recently passed a federal law in Canada allowing gay marriage, making it the third country in the world where gays can legally wed.

This is shamefull for the U.S. We are obliged to recognize gay marraiges from these countries but the wingnut religious zealots and haters still wont allow American gays to marry.

We can take comfort in the fact that sooner or later the supreme court will have to hear the case for gay marraige and will have no choice but to allow it. Unless bushco has completely thrown the constitution out by that time.

I'm for gays getting marrried!

I'm all for gay marriage. What's wrong with it? Okay, so it's "unconstitutional" according to some, but what about equal rights? Some thought NOT having segregation was unconstitutional, but we're living just fine without segregation now, aren't we? There shouldn't be anything wrong with gay marriage, and I find it ridiculous that gays cannot marry in most countries.

I think Gays should get married and see what the rest of us go through, and thinking back on a previous marriage years ago, they might not be so gay anymore....... ;)

Nice thought, Dan. Knowing what divorce court can provide a woman scorned, the the gay divorcee (http://www.brightlightsfilm.com/28/gaydivorcee1.html) could take on a whole new life. Imagine the television shows featuring lawyers specializing in that field alone.

I don't think they should be able to get married. Gay people are Icky. It should also be illegal for them to kiss in public...there could be children watching!!!!!!!

I don't want to see them denied any rights, so I guess you could say with our current situation, I'm for gay marriage.

Unless bushco has completely thrown the constitution out by that time. im telling you right now, there were a lot of democrats that voted for bush because of their stand on this issue. i argued with many people who used this to say that bush was the moral choice, and gay marriage was part of the problem..............i personally dont care. i dont want to be married, if gays want to, let them suffer....lmao ( this was a joke about marriage, not gays) :D

If we're going to send our military to fight & die in faraway lands for nebulous causes in the name of "freedom", then they are fighting for everyone's freedom and we should not trivialize their bravery by denying certain freedoms to certain people simply because some intolerant souls don't like the cut of their jib. That's not America. People of all stripes should be free to associate with whomever they choose if they are willing to face the consequences. Yes to gay marriage.
Further, the gov't should quit wasting their time and our $$$ (including the raise the bastards are giving themselves) debating all these attempts to amend the Const., and stop trying to wad up their beliefs and jamming them down our throats to satisfy the religious freakos they call voters.

Unfortunately, lovejones, that very much is America as it currently stands.

It is the America prefered by the Rightwing authoritarian faction that runs this country.
