I love it, that's all i can say.....

When i heard the news that Steve Nash was 2005 NBA MVP, it gave me a warm feeling inside. A victory, so to say, for basketball, and not for someone who just happens to play basketball.

Steve Nash is the kind of guy you CAN'T help but be happy for, unless you are a fan of the "me-me-me" guys like TMAC, AI, and such and are pissed that your man didn't get the individual fame.... Steve Nash is the total package. He wasn't blessed with incredible leaping, he isn't the fastest man on the planet, and his size leaves much to be desired, but he knows how to play his craft, and MOST IMPORTANT, he knows how to be the best at it WITHOUT getting a big head about it.

yea, Nash could sell out, sign on with Reebok, wear a hat sideways, flex for the cameras, pop his jersey, and all that other BULL you see from all the "me" guys....

But instead he does what he does, and lets OTHER PEOPLE say how good he is, he doesn't have to do it himself...

I say the NBA got it dead on right... while society sucks off the individual guys, its nice to see the Duncan's and Nash's getting the credit they deserve.....

Way to go Steve, just don't beat my mavs in the playoffs

I agree with you, Steve Nash was the right choice but then again I don't agree with 2nd place, 3rd place, 4th place and 5th place.

1. Steve Nash, Phoenix - 1066
2. Shaquille O'Neal, Miami - 1032
3. Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas - 349
4. Tim Duncan, San Antonio - 328
5. Allen Iverson, Philadelphia - 240
6. LeBron James, Cleveland - 93

Now you see, Iverson and LeBron worked their asses off the whole season and even though they didn't make it far into playoffs or make playoffs at all I think they deserve better than that. I mean LeBron didn't even get 1 vote for 1st place. Pathetic. I can't believe Duncan got more points then Iverson and LeBron. The Spurs can with without Duncan and we saw that...Suns surely can't win without Nash, Sixers can't without Iverson, Cavaliers can't without LeBron and so on...

I give Dirk some credit...but Shaq, I wouldn't even give him 7th place. It's not him that carries that team, it's Wade. All Wade.

One more thing, I can't believe P.J. Brown got 15th place with 1 point. Is that supposed to be some kind of a joke or what???

Nash did deserve the MVP award and Shaq and Duncan deserved to be the runners up as they were. LeBron's team didnt even make the playoffs and AI's barely made it just to be bumped in the first round. Hardly ringing credentials for an MVP, i would say.

I think Dwayne Wade should have been the 4th most voted on MVP candidate because he is talented. But lets get real here, without Shaq, the Heat are where the Lakers are right now, watching the playoffs from home.

LoL I am an Iverson fan, not only that but a Sixers fan. I don't understand how you can give Duncan credit... An MVP is supposed to make the players around him better, as a team. He did that but the Spurs also showed that they can win without him. And you are right about Wade as voted 4th. He is a very talented player and he should be up there next season, he might even win it unless LeBron gets a winning team. LoL Which I highly doubt. Cavaliers Suck!

Duncan got way too much credit, and I agree with Nash as the MVP. He is just awesome, drive to the hoop and lay it up, or dish it to Amare for the jam. You can't leave him open anywhere, and if you foul him, he's a 90+% shooter from the line. Iverson really should of goten more votes, the guy played his heart and body out, then picked up the slack from the rest of the team.

hey, i agree that Iverson put up great numbers, but the only problem is his team wasn't that good....

AND... he didnt really make many people around him better.

Duncan got the votes he deserved in my opinion....
