An Air American Talk show host, Randi Rhodes has goverment officials reviewing a skit which aired on his show Monday evening. The skit featured an apparent gunshot warning to the president!

The announcer: "A spoiled child is telling us our Social Security isn't safe anymore, so he is going to fix it for us. Well, here's your answer, you ungrateful whelp: [audio sound of 4 gunshots being fired.] Just try it, you little bastard. [audio of gun being cocked]."

Guess the Secret Service isn't any too happy with Randi Rhodes. Wonder if he'll have do any jail time?

I don't think it's funny, but I'm not offended or anything, nor do I view it as some sort of death threat.

I don't think it's threatening either, but it is bad comedy. BTW, I'm pretty sure Randi Rhodes is a she.

Sounds like something good ol' Randi would do. She doesn't exactly seem like the type of person to go out and shoot the prez, though, so I wouldn't be worried. One thing I've noticed about Air America, as much as I love that station: some of the hosts (esp. Marc Maron, the guy on in the morning) really like the corny audio noises.

if Rush Limbaugh had played a similar skit complete with gunshot noise during the Clinton Administration, I wouldn't have found it funny. What I find sad is the hypocrisy of the left who say that Right Wing talk radio is evil and promotes hatred and acts of violence and yet it is Air America that does a skit about shooting President Bush. Guess you guys thought the T-shirt telling Tom Delay to commit suicide was just dandy too! And the insane lib who tried to run down Harris who certified the 2000 Florida Election results while she and supporters were campaigning in FL last year was doing a noble deed. I am sickened by the hatred and anger of the lying left. :(

I am sickened that you think that hatred and anger are solely traits of "the left." It's everywhere in politics.

the only thing funny about it is how when the network started franken was saying it would be a kinder, gentler network, the opposite of the angr white guy right wing radio. that didnt last long, now they are more angry then the angry white guys.
