The Eels. Of course they've had plenty of time already, so maybe they're never going to make that category.

Of the above -

The Eels are a great band. Seen them live before.

The Secret Machines is also a great band.

But, other current great bands / artists

Paul Westerberg - incredible!
Wilco

They weren't that great. I've seen them a few times and the last time they weren't that great either.

I saw Uncle Tupelo in St Louis in 94 just before they broke up - they were great then. Then Tweedy played in St Louis in small clubs just as Wilco was forming - they were great then.

If you like Wilco - check out Paul Westerberg.

There's a woman in the mirror in a fiery state

Thank you, whammy dear, for originally introducing me to the Secret Machines.

thetruth---The Killers are the awesome. I would also add Franz Ferdinand to the list.

Not many give Breaking Benjamin enough credit, those guys are great. I'm still waiting for their next album.

Well I like them, you can't just say they suck without a reason. My two favorite songs are sooner or later and firefly.

Best bands of all time in what genre?
I dont think this list will be nearly the same for anyone, cause we all have different standards. For instance, no band on the radio or even worse, mtv, will make it far on my list
