That is, if I could manage to drink it. When I was little, I never could keep Robitussin down; I always threw it straight up, it tasted so bad. Since then, I've managed to choke down the tablespoon or whatever the dose is, but a whole fucking bottle? I'd need taste buds of steel...

I have personal knowledge of more than 1 individual consuming approximately a quart - 4+ large bottles of Robitussin daily, with a duration of over 6 months. Regardless of the quality of the buzz, the effect on the body is roughly equvalent to (if not worse than) consuming a quart of wiskey daily.

its not illegal to sniff glue...theres no law stating you cant sniff glue....sure, walmart regulates who it sells rubber cement to for those reasons...but there is no law saying you cant sniff glue or huff gas or down cough syrup in your spare time if you choose to do so

Actually, there are. Laws regulate the sale of glue and such to minors, and I'm certain that it's illegal (substance abuse) and if a cop sees you doing it, he can arrest you.

substance abuse is a substance such as alcohol or controlled substances like prescription medication.
the only official law with any regulation (in the US) of DXM is in New York:

It is unlawful to give, sell or cause to be given or sold 2 or more containers of medicine containing dextromethorphan to any person under the age of 18
So you cannot get arrested if you are just hanging out on the street downing a couple bottles since there are no laws concerning DXM intake....unless of course your were intoxicated from a version that had alcohol in it
