You used to be able to go to MP-3.com and get all kinds of music from obscure artists, but that's changed now. NOW, you go there and you have to run down half a dozen links and you it's iffy if you can hear a song or not. Does anyone no of a website that has music by up and coming artists that you can listen to?

I've searched around a bit and haven't had much luck.

The way the RIAA is cracking down on file sharing makes me a bit reluctant to download a file sharing program, dammit.

You can just chose not to share your files, that way RIAA won't have anything to do with you. I know it sounds selfish but that's the only way to download songs nowadays.

or stick them in your itunes and then delete them from the filesharing stuff.

you can "preview" entire songs, but the quality sucks. You have to regester too. Not the best if you want to just download music, but if you want to listen to the entire album to see if you really wanna spend money on it, this site is a pretty good find. Supposedly you can download the songs in good quality for about 5 cents a meg, but since thats only about 5 cents a song, the legality of that might be a little questionable......
