Of course - pick up your phone and call a plumber. :)
Actually, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it, even though I can sweat pipes and to a lesser degree, weld. The problem would be renting the equipment, and I'd have to do just that because I'd replace my 40 ga. unit with a 60 or an 80. That requires using a different vent (gas unit), rerouting the copper lines, and patience. Btw, have you checked these (http://www.controlledenergy.com/html/aquastar/250sx.html#) out??? They're awesome...(probably what I'd go with)
Do you like foreign cars? If so, then what kind?
es347fan
05-04-2005, 09:36 AM
Yes, I like foreign autos. I've owned several, including 3 VW's - 2 vans, 1 old beetle, 2 BMW's -735i & 528i, a Jag, and a few others. Even had a Mazda rotary wagon.
Are you a hunter of wild game?

"No..I have accidently dranken spolied milk at school a couple of times."
dranken: (KY colloquial) used primarily by those living in the most remote areas of Kentucky, specifically those where sunshine is brought in by truck, and the only commerce is the shine shipped out. This particular form is the accepted past tense form of "draink"
Despite the best efforts of the Department of Education at the state level, combined with the finest group of speech therapists ever assembled, rehabilitation of those residents has proven to be difficult - by a factor of 10. It seems those residents are the most untrainable ever encountered. Extensive use of the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale revealed a 20% lower average throughout the tested population than a similar test group from other areas of the same state.

Goood lord I had to edit that...bad, bad, bad, very, very bad... (sob)
es347fan
05-06-2005, 11:07 AM
Probably. I've got at least one intoxication event in my past worthy of song.
On a very rare occasion, (in this case, jury duty), you're using public transportation to ride to the city center and the county/state/federal courthouse. While on the bus, you can't help but notice a fellow traveller with some type of multi-legged tiny creature moving about their neck and ear without their taking any apparent notice. Do you tell them? Do you tell anyone?
~Sal~
05-07-2005, 10:10 AM

But I sure as hell would change seats fast, or maybe walk the remaining journey regardless of length!!!
If you could go back in time and live one day all over again knowing it would not change anything in the present, would you do it?
Imagineer
05-07-2005, 10:26 AM
Yes. I can think of several days in my life that I would enjoy living over. If i could pick only one, it would have to be May 6, 1970. It was an incredible day and night. I was doing first aid at the riots in the wake of the invasion of Cambodia at the University of Wisconsin. The world was coming apart, or so it seemed at the time. I also lost my virginity that day. All in all it was a pretty intense day.
Have you ever deliberately provoked a fight with a friend, only to regret it later?
es347fan
05-07-2005, 05:42 PM
No, but... I've played the game of starting a fight between 2 others & then sit back to listen & watch the show.
Have you ever complained loudly enough about a meal just to get out of paying for it?

No, it would be nice to but I don't have that kind of money.
Do you read the newspaper daily?
es347fan
05-08-2005, 10:52 PM
I used to enjoy a daily newspaper, be it the Austin American Statesman or the Stars & Stripes. During the past several years of living with a high speed Internet, I now rely on this infernal machine to provide me with nearly all the news I read, combined with the available 24/7 news channels on the tube. As such, I rarely purchase a newspaper.
Can you drive a vehicle with a manual transmission?
OldPhart
05-08-2005, 10:58 PM
Yep, Learned to drive in a Chevy pick up with a 3 speed on the column. The clutch was so hard to press, I would have to come up out of my seat....of course I was a touch lighter then....LOL
Have you ever been to a drive in movie?
es347fan
05-08-2005, 11:10 PM
Drive-in's used to be great. Saw Night of the Living Dead )b&w, new movie) in a drive-in that was next to a huge old cemetary. On top of that, the 6 of us in the car (3 men, 3 women) were drinking, smoking & eating chocolate mescaline. What a completely fun & un-memorable experience. Well, they've changed, and the last 2 I visited - 1 in San Antonio, TX about 8 years ago, another in Lockport, NY about 5 years ago were pretty sorry. No longer do you hang a speaker in your car, now you run your FM radio and rely upon your own sound system. Not the greatest hassle - unless you've a weak battery, or park within 800 yards of cretins playing with their sound systems. On top of that, the local keystone kops never stopped patrolling the lanes, and the prices for everything had quadrupled. Damn shame, too.
Do you play any musical instruments?
saycricket
05-10-2005, 08:46 AM
Played clarinet in Jr. high, played acoustic guitar in Sr. high and the occasional drum (usually my daughter's set). Basically what I play-loudly-is Papa Roach and Cold on the stereo and beat on the kitchen cabinets in time to the bass. Ok, call me weird if you want.
Does anyone like white water rafting?
~Sal~
05-10-2005, 08:51 AM
No
I thought it looked suicidal. Maybe in my old age I am becoming suicidal because we have been talking about doing white-water-rafting for the first time this summer. And if I don't fall overboard, I may really like it.:D
How about hang-gliding (hope I wrote that correctly)? Ever done it?
Imagineer
05-10-2005, 04:41 PM
I've never done that. I still want to, but I don't know anyone who does it, and I just haven't gotten to it.
Have you ever written a check, knowing you didn't have the money to cover it?
es347fan
05-10-2005, 06:18 PM
Years ago when checks would 'float' for a few days, or longer, there were times that I was counting on the payday deposit being posted before the check was withdrawn. It is no longer a certainty, as banking laws have recently changed, allowing banks to transfer funds without having the actual document in hand. If the document is verified electronically, that's now enough for your bank to pay out.
Do you believe that intelligent life exists other than here on Earth?
Imagineer
05-11-2005, 01:15 AM
I think it does. The universe is big enough that the odds would seem to favor the development of intelligent life in more than one place. If they have discovered us, I think they are trying to figure out if we represent intelligent life by their definition.
Have you ever had too much fun?
~Sal~
05-14-2005, 10:45 AM
No can't say I have. Fun is fun unless one starts to examine different variables such as adding excess to the fun, then the fun is gone though so... nope.

My answer to the horse question: let's see if you really have the cojones to pull that trigger before I manage to shove the barrel of that weapon up your unwilling butt.
Late fall, about 6 weeks before the major holidays of late December. You're in a relationship that's beginning to cool, but hasn't collapsed into true breakup yet. Your significant other (dating only, no legal bonds) has indicated a fairly pricy buable is what would make the hit of the season, yet you're a touch reluctant to drop that kind of $$. At roughly the same time, a new bauble is introduced - really catching your eye - at roughly the same level of $$ as the other choice. You have the $$ for one or the other, and not providing the significant other with their bauble while at the same time getting yours will certainly end the relationship. Your choice?
Evakian
07-30-2005, 11:35 PM
If my significant other would be so shallow that getting or lack of getting gifts would determine the relationship, I would not stand for that materialism and end it. Thus ending this dilemma.
But if i really wanted to keep it going or revive it, i would find a way to get more money (overtime at work, selling goods via ebay or pawn shop, etc) and then buy compatible gifts for the both of us that would coerce us into spending more time together. This may seem shallow seeing as how i still get a present and im not sacrificing anything for the relationship, but i see it as a healthy alternative if it means more time together as a result of the matching, compatible gifts.
You are an explorer in a temple, the temple hallways fork and you must pick one as the doors will shut behind you after you go one way or the other. On the left is the fountain of youth, drink from it and live forever as a youthful bodied person but are forced to live in the massive temple, which has every convience and thing to satisfy your desires (it is paradise), but you must be alone. On the right is the fountain of age, drink from it and age rapidly(twice the speed) but you recieve freedom to leave the temple and reenter the world to see others.
Which do you choose?
jerejerebinks
07-31-2005, 01:14 PM
I'd think that was a pretty sucky temple. But thered me no point in being youthful if you couldnt use it on an unexpecting girl out there in the world.

You have a girl/boyfriend that you are deeply engaged in a relationship with. You decide to talk with them about marriage the next day, but before you head out the door that morning, the richest, hottest, most famous movie star(you decide who) is at your doorstep and offers to run anyway with him/her. In doing this you would get a beautiful mate, lots of money, and even some fame, but you leave your past lover in the dust. Which do you do?
