My taskbar, with the start button and the time and everything else appears when i am just at my desktop, but as soon as i go into internet explorer it isn't there anymore. So in order for me to get to any of the taskbar buttons while i'm surfing the net i have to minimize the whole screen in order to get to them. How do I fix this and where did it go lol?

Right click the taskbar, click Properties, and uncheck "Auto-hide"...

Thank you for your help, it wasn't actually the auto hide, that was already unchecked, but thanks to you i did figure out that "the always on top" button was unchecked, so i checked it to see what it would do and it worked. If you hadn't have showed me to go properties i wouldn't have figured that out. Thanks so much for your help!!!!!

Download Firefox or Opera, both are free downloads the free version of Opera comes with adverts under the menu.

Find that Opera loads faster.

If you change from IE to another browser, would it be a problem to go back to IE if you want to? Would anything have to change in OE?

Thanks Borg. Recently, IE seems to move so slow and I was afraid I had a virus. I did a Norton virus scan and it didn't detect any viruses.

IE is part of the Windows Operating System, there is nothing wrong in installing another browser, such as firefox or Opera.

For better protection. it is highly recommended to have anti spyware installed and updated too.
