I don't know about ya'll, but I am so beyond sick of hearing about someone having a terminal disease, a cold, an ache or a pain and all the medicines that will make it better but cause any number of OTHER disgusting problems. It's relentless....all day, all night, every channel except HBO and those of course. I mean, I'm sorry there is so much sickness in the world, but having to hear about it 24/7 every time I turn my TV on for entertainment purposes, I don't want to hear about someones gross feet, peeing problems and other assorted yuck. Not to mention the side effects that they so readily rattle off in the middle of your delicious dinner. "Side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, diarrhea WITH vomiting, stomach ache, dizziness.....etc. etc...."
I have to have the remote in my hand at all times just so I can mute it the second a show takes a break because I don't want to be grossed out or depressed. I mean, about 8 years ago, the BIG commercial thing was attorney's....the "IF" commercials. Ya know, "IF you've been injured..." types and I thought THOSE were bad enough, now I wish they'd go back to those. At least they weren't gross.

So, how many people here would like to see an end to these kinds of ads on TV?

Depends. Do I think they're annoying? Kind of. Would I petition the government to stop the ads? Hell no.

Either im totally unaware that they have come on or we dont get that many, but im in England and would find meds commercials quite funny.

The smoking ads piss me off, thats about it

My personal favorites are the ones that don't tell you what the drug is for.

"Ask your doctor about the new <insert color here> pill, ask them if NOASSATALL is right for you".

BTW my wife informed me that I OD'd on this particular drug several years ago.........

oh lovely :@@: I bet most of them are off the market within the next 10 years due to some hideous side effect.
