An 8.7 earthquake has hit the Indian Ocean only month after the 9.2

Remember how the region was screaming that there was no warning of the tsunami on December 26th. And somehow the fingers were pointed at the US.

After this most recent quake a tsunami warning was immediately issued. No tsunami developed. Now get ready for the world to start pointing at the US for causing panic.

Who ever blamed the U.S. for not giving a warning? As far as I remember, people in that region blamed their own governments for not having a tsunami warning system. What they criticized the U.S. for was not giving enough money for the relief effort.

I found these two articles that blame the US in just ten seconds. I know the sources are somewhat unreliable, but the fact that it was posted says alot.

It seems like it was either conspiracy nuts or Islamic extremists who blame the US for the tsunami... the type of people who would blame America if they got diarrhea. But the vast majority of the people in the region knew better.
I was actually on vacation in India when the tsunami hit. I talked to a lot of people and paid attention to the media, and I never heard, read about, or saw anyone blaming the US for anything but being stingy.

Like I said, not the best of sources. And you're right, the nuts will blame the US for anything and everything.

I do remember the whining over the slow and inadequate reponse the media blamed on the US. Why is it our government can send $3 to $4 billion dollars in grants a year around the world for disaster relief and victims of disasters here in US get low interest loans? Seems like we should take care own first.

I do lean towards the right, but not a robot who agrees with everything the party has to say. I'm a thinker, not a follower. Common sense is authorized.
