I need some help with my forum. I need to edit something, somehow, to allow Guest Voting on the boards however this seems to be a somewhat difficult task and whilst i have followed a few varying guides nothing has worked.

The best i have had so far is it let 1 guest vote before locking down and not allowing anyone.

Another problem i have is when you log in it refreshes back to the main page leaving you looking like youve logged out but if you click on news or something it then refreshes to you being logged in. This is more annoying when you come back wanting to see which topics have been updated.

Im ok with editing any part of the PHP stuff i just dont know what to edit.

Or should i just scrap phpBB and go with Vbulletin?

vBulletin costs a great deal of money...my personal choice was Invision, but now you have to pay for that as well. Why do you need guests to vote, though? One would assume that giving them posting priveleges would allow them to vote...

No its seperate, and its auto set so that when you define the forum to allows guests to vote in that specific forum it changes it back to registered.

I have however deleted that out of the Forum authorisation php in the folder and it still doesnt want to know :(

and yeh i had a look 160 dollars come on! thats just rude.
