The world's retirees are gasping for breath as the United States Congress moves closer to allow big corps to legally reduce and or cut off retirees from their benefits. The corporation would only have to say they are in financial trouble and change their corporate name.
If you are a retiree, youre plan may be in deep trouble with Congress in the
mood they are in.
All retirees should send a message to their Congressmen expressing the view that protections for retirement benefits must not be taken away.
Have a good day

U.S. corporations operating in other countries have to follow the rules of that country as far as how it treats local retirees.

I had a good friend whose father lost his pension when Allis Chalmers was bought by a German corporation and became Deutches Allis. The Germans closed the Wisconsin factories, took the pension money, and denied all claims because the retirees had never worked for them. Many thousands of workers and retirees in the Milwaukee area lost their pensions. People are right to be concerned.

It's always been obvious that Bush hates dems and will do whatever it takes to destroy them. That ideology may be the magnatism for the 50% of the polulation that votes to keep him in power.

However, what that same 50% hasn't figured out -- until now -- is that Bush will someday be coming after them too ... and it appears that day is here.

It looks like his followers, in retirement, will have to eat their bibles and guns and sit around bragging to each other that at least fags can't marry.

Sometimes I pray that the united states had been as dumbed-down when I was younger as it is today. The very thought of getting over on so many people, so easily, is mouth-watering. Certainly, I would be a very rich person today at the expense of the 50% fools.

The German company buying Allis Chalmers happened long before George Bush was President. In fact it happened during the Carter administration. I offered this example to point out that following the laws of other countries does not protect U.S. workers. In fact, what was done did not violate German law. However, the workers in Wisconsin, who contributed the money in the fund along with their employer, might feel that it wasn't right for a German company to steal it.
