Both systems have their strong points, but which will lead the pack?
Nintendo DS:
PROS: Has sold 1 million units already, has sold MILLIONS MORE in GB & GBA units, therefore, having an INCREDIBLE back catalogue of backwards-compatible games!
Exclusive first-party Nintendo games.
Nintendo has A LOT OF EXPERIENCE in the handheld market, as they have dominated it for SO LONG!
It has a two screens to use for innovative gameplay elements.
It has a touch screen, with built-in chat software that you can send to friends WIRELESSLY!
The touch screen can also be used for different style of gameplay elements or control (with Metroid Prime on the DS, the touch screen acts like a SECOND ANALOG STICK!!!)
It has built-in WI-FI, to link with friends wirelessly and compete against each other.
SOME GAMES ONLY REQUIRE ONE CARTRIDGE & multiple DS systems to play multi-player!
CONS: No wi-fi hot spot internet access (yet?), no built-in music or MP3 player (yet?), smaller screens, than one big PSP screen, graphics may not be as good as the PSP (it's too soon to tell)

Sony PSP:
PROS: It has a huge 4+" widescreen gorgeous color screen!
Amazing graphics!
Has a new UMD technology to stuff more stuff on its games.
They will also release movies to be seen on the PSP on the go.
Possibly built-in music/MP3 player with software purchase/upgrade/ or maybe even out of the box!
Exclusive first-party Sony games.
Familiar PlayStation-type-similarity of control layout.
It may have WI-FI hot-spot internet access either by software purchase, upgrade, or out-of-the-box!
It may even have cellular phone adapter/kit for sale soon!
It LOOKS SO COOL!
It may be the next MUST-HAVE consumer-icon product! (Like the iPod is, or Sony's previous inventions, such as the Walkman and the Discman!)
CONS: Sony is new to the portable gaming market (however, they have made TONS of portable things, such as the Walkman & Discman)
Sony is behind Nintendo DS (GB & GBA too), in sales, and must play catch-up, although I see that happening.
Some have concerns about the battery life possibly only lasting 4-6 hours for gaming (or more if not gaming), but if that is a concern, you can buy a NEW BATTERY!

Who do you think will win this battle? Is there room for 2 companies in the portable-gaming arena, like how there are 3 systems in the home console market? Which would you buy, if you had to choose one? I can't choose! I'm going to get BOTH FOR FREE! It really works! I already got a free 20 GB iPod! If you want both the DS & the PSP for free, look below.

Check this out! You can get a FREE Nintendo DS!!! It really works! The link for the free Nintendo DS is below (click the exact link):

Yes but the Xbox 360 isnt portable and if you were buying either a PSP or DS you would probably be looking for a hand held console.
