So another journalist who was "accidentally" targeted by US forces. And yet another hostage who says the Iraqis treated her quite well...

Interesting Mr. 500 pound gorilla starts a thread titled "Murdering journalist" and the first line of his post is "Wounded Italian Reporter Recalls Ordeal."

I'm guessing Mr. Gorilla likes to try to convince people of his righteousness by lying.

Incidentally, the reporter in this story is known to be strongly against the US and the Iraqi war. A more compelling theory that was stated in another thread has proposed that maybe this journalist initiated this entire incident in order to try to do her part in disrupting the US and the way things are going in Iraq. Things have been going well since the election, and desperate times call for desperate measures. I agree that this theory is kinda wild, but I think it makes more sense than the story that the US soldiers fired at an "innocent journalist."

I guess the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" doesn't apply to our soldiers.
