okay, we have alot of different types of opinions here. what would you guys do in this situation?
you rent a house sight unseen because a friend of yours manages a rental house for one of the local landlords. you are unable to find anything else in town anyway. after you move your stuff in, you realize that the basement is full of garbage and other peoples stuff. so, you mention it to the landlord and he says to just get rid of it. you spend hours loading it onto your friends trailer and he hauls it off.
months later, you realize that the landlord isn't fixing anything that is wrong with the house and in fact is expecting you to pay for everything that needs to be done.
you decide to move out and when you do (knowing how gross the place was when you moved in and thinking he obviously could care less what is left behind) you leave a couch and chair behind that you have no room for in the next house.
one month later, you are watching tv when your neighbor knocks at the door and says that someone just dumped a 10 ft wide by 5 ft high pile of junk in your front yard. he tells you about how he caught him and a friend and when he yelled at them, one ran off and the other drove away with the rest of the junk still in his trailer and that he had already called the police about it. the police show up and you find out that the person who had done it had a trailer that fit the description of the friend of yours that had told you about the last house.
basically what he has done is this. the landlord sold or rented the house and wanted our friend to empty it out before the new people took it over and he was pissed that he had to remove the couch and chair. so he had gathered up a bunch of his own garbage and assorted junk that he wanted to get rid of and dumped it all in our yard.
what would you do?
