Just in case anyone wants to know his website.
I would love to be able to remember things like that, and ive tried and tired to assocoiate it with pictures, sounds, tastes and smells but its like reprogramming the very foundation of your brain.
He is a very amazing person, and this just goes to prove how undiscovered the human brain is.
Thanks, a very interesting article.
He seems to be able to perceive the world without the distraction of handed down misconceptions. There is truely a message in that.
His awareness is fantastic.

No doubt, and thank you both for your input. I, too, was blown away when I read it...

wow, amazing article, thanks for posting that.
remember there was a link to a test called "spot the fake smile" in the Science forum a while back? there's some other tests on that website, like one where you are asked to associate numbers with colours, and whether or not you will always associate that colour with a number when it is shown to you. i didn't do too well on that test. personally, i have to be able to see a mental picture of something if i'm ever going to remember it, and to me numbers are just numbers. this makes it impossible for me to remember even my own cellphone number. being able to associate numbers with shapes or sounds or movement like Tammet can would be wonderful.
It says on tammet's website that the world record for reciting pi is 42,195 digits. i wonder who holds that record...
