Those comic strips are comedy. There are a lot of people that believe that rubbish. Reminds of those Jack Van Impe stuff on TV where they talk about the world ending in fire and the true believers being spirited away to heaven in the "rapture"

Its a generalization I know but the people who subscribe to those types of beliefs tend to have a greater % of mental problems than the general population
