JUNKIE DOGS CHASING A HIGH

There are also monkey that wait for fruit to overripen so they can get drunk on it till they pass out.

Is drug use in animals a sign of intelligence?

Nooooooooooo, how about a sign of stupidity. :D

Okay, kidding (sort of). I think it is a sign that any creature will pleasure seek even if it poisons them. Woof!:p

What's interesting is that the habit seems to have caught on amongst the dogs. So maybe there's some sort of very basic communication happening between them? If so, then it is a sign of intelligence.

This would be beyond doubt when one of them begins collecting toads by the dozen, then stands at a street corner whispering to other dogs passing by: "Want some Territorian green, man? It's good shit man!"
