What does everyone think of Prince Charles and Camilla finally getting married?

I give Chuck credit for originality. Most guys his age ditch the old battleaxe and pick up a trophy wife. He ditched the trophy wife and picked up the old battleaxeCamilla will never make a good Queen - she is supposed to be lazy and apparently grubby. All she wants are the trappings of the position but probably not the responsibilities.

Anyway the monarchy may not be elected but as Britain is a constitutional monarchy, the people will finally decide and if they decide that they don't want Camilla as Queen, Charles may be finally be forced to come to his senses and abdicate.

I still after all these years that Princess Diana was murdered to make room for Camilla.
Best wishes to them!!!!!

I think Camilla IS an old battleax, homewrecker, sleazebag, etc. etc. BUT, I also think that Charles is a schmuck too. They deserve each other.

Camilla is a rotwieller. Charles is a disgusting excuse for a man.

I'll never understand why British people (and some Americans) care about the "Royal" family.
What's the appeal?

There is no appeal. Some people follow the royals for the same reason that others buy the National Inquirer....they have no life.

Jeez Echo, I beg to differ. I think British Royal history is fascinating especially their recent "German" roots and the name changing. I think I DO have a life.

I agree with that statement.

I don't understand why people care about celebrities. Especially actors... is there an easier job than acting? Acting in movies requires absolutely no talent at all in my opinion.

I think that part's interesting as well. Not to mention just some of the bizarre tails that have occurred in the history of the various monarchies. I can't say that I'm particularly interested in the people themselves, though.

Gezz Echo2, I do have a life, a good one, just wondered since it was in the news, what other people thought! I guess it was the wrong topic to try to have a discussion about. I really do not care about celeb's royal or not. Just was wondering.

I think it is fantastic. He was pushed into marrying that anorexic psychotic whom he never loved to begin with. He has loved Camilla from day one. Why should he not be with the one that he loves just because of what mummy says it isn't right. Mummy happened to be lucky enough to marry the love of her life.

As for the monarchy, those babes live forever. He will never be king. I think he left it this long so that his son was old enough to step in.

I say go Charlie go!

you go Sal.
I know I would rather be from day one with the one I loved, I would not want an arranged marriage, but it is to bad Charles could not stand up for what he wanted, so not to wreck the lives of many others, because of his choices. You go Sal

Camilla isn't going to be queen. Her title will be HRH Duchess of Windsor, I believe.

She could, in theory, call herself HRH the Princess of Wales, but that would be an act of gross insensitivity, and she will be therefore known as the Duchess of Cornwall in England and Wales, and the Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, reflecting her husband’s two dukedoms, one on each side of the border.

If/when Charlie-boy becomes king, she'll be the 'Princess Consort'. I very much doubt he'll give up the chance to be king, and Elizabeth is showing no signs of slowing down...

Well,
I guess some people care about the Royal Family.

And some people like to know who their taxes are supporting. Why do you capitalise 'Royal Family'?

Well "care" is a relative term, is it not? And I'll bet a few of us even have a life... ;)
