Well actually they're cool because I got to meet new people and all since I joined but anyways the drum line and the color guard are doing a fundraiser. They're selling candy bars and I bought a Kit Kat from one of them and it was really good and I keep buying them and I became an addict!!! AHHHh!!!
And there was no point in me making this post ^_^

There are only two things you need to make a great band fundraiser
1. Lots of pancakes, bacon, sausage, hasnbrowns and other breakfast stuff
2. Jazz music

ahhh band Camp....we had one of those too. It was called either "Disney World," "MGM Studios," "Universal Studios," "Islands of Adventure," or "Magic Kingdom."
But you know, it's about time we got another Band Geek in here besides just me (as far as I know), so I say, thank you revenG.....BAND GEEKS UNITE!

I guess I was one too, at least for a while. But I quit after my sophomore year because the level of geekiness amped up another notch and I couldn't take it anymore.
I too, am trained in the ways of band. Years ago, I very much enjoyed marching band and pep band even more!!! Concert band was most challenging, I guess that's why it might come in third. I did like them all though.
I was in the brass section. I played the Euphonium, also known as the baritone. Of course, my fellow geeks will know what these instruments are. For those not in the know, the horn looks like a small Tuba and has sound comparable to the Trombone.
Let me up the geek-a-tude up a notch. A couple of years after high school, I bought my own horn so I could play in a community band. I still own it today, but the horn hasn't seen daylight for about a year. :(
Just another of my many special talents.
John Phillip Sousa ROCKS! er...... sorry, MARCHES!!
007.
I had trouble making the last post, but here's a question i wanted to include.
What instruments are Allforums members hiding in their closets?

I am something of a band groupie. I go to all the competitions, however, I do not actually play an instrument.

In band I play the trombone but by myself I've taught myself a teeny tiny bit of clarinet and a few saxophone stuff. Piano is like my main thing next to the T-Bone.
T-Bone Forever!!!!!!! ;)

i started playing, get this, the accordian when i was about 6. at 8, i started playing the flute. i played the flute/piccolo until i was 19. i was a first chair in honor band EVERY year (from 7th to 12th grade). i played in disney world, washington d.c., and los angeles. i was drum major in 8th and 9th grades, and again in 11th and 12th. during this time i taught myself how to play the clarinet and the french horn. i got 4 scholarship offers when i graduated from high school. i played in the navy band. think i classify as a "band geek"?

Of course, my brother had one. I even taught myself to play, which isn't hard coming from a trombone.

My trombones have returned to their owner (my brother). Only electronic keyboards remain.
