Recently, I downloaded all of Vanessa Carlton's videos and one of them is in .asf format. Compared to the others, the .asf one's quality is sort of eeekkk and the sound is bleh. as in bad sort of. It's good but it's bad...that doesn't make sense...

Also, the asf file's size was 9MB compared to the other videos which were like 50MB's.

So what's the difference between mpeg's and asf's? What are asf's?

Advanced Systems Format. I think ASF is the one Windows Media Player prefers, and Microsoft kinda tries to push people to use it.

Good for the fullscreen streaming windows media video's that MSN has suddenly found itself putting on their main page, for movie trailers and the like.
