I was searching for pre-Christian mythology on Satan when I came upon this little gem.
I read through some of their bylaws and they seem to be basically on the same page with most of society. They denounce harming children and such.
For the curious minded check it out. I found it mostly funny.
My favorite quote is:
(from the 11 Satanic rules of the Earth)
"11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him."
(and no I am not a Satanist, just a curious minded chap)

Ive been a fan of them for ages, Never officially come to calling myself a Satanist but i agree with most of their stuff and yeh that rule is always the one people pick up on, rather comical.

baaaaaahaha.....so the first lucky link I clink on is a "hidden link" with a bunch of half naked babes draping themselves over the webmaster who is trying to look like some devilishly sexy *cough* what ever...
I think it was supposed to look like some kind of inviting debauchery...
I couldn't get past the glaring pink font either but maybe when the night is younger or something.

Yeh best not, wouldnt want you to open your mind to anything, best just to close your ears and eyes and walk blindly like always, its safer for you afterall.

Thanks, Sal.
And on some level I agree with you Lokedeviluk. Christianity does require some level of closemindedness. It is safer.
"Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful..."
Look at the verbs: walk, stand, sit.
Every hole starts with a crack, every downfall of a Christian starts with walking in a wrong direction.

I completely disagree. My faith is stronger for having questioned and continuing to question it. You don't have to walk in the wrong direction either, just keep making sure that you're going in the right direction, if that make sense.
Sorry, I just can't stand mindless Christianity.

Oh, no you are completely right, LionelHutz. I just don't think that I want to tempt myself like that ,you know? If you feel you are strong enough, then by all means, let the tribulations, persecutions, and temptetions make your stronger.

That quite simply means your faith is weak, since you feel that by just looking at a website youll be turned away. Are you Paranoid youll lose your faith?

The Church of Satan website will only tempt you if you're the Satanist type. Satanism is a very selfish religion...very few, I think, are right for them. I've looked into Satanism...far too selfish and a tad too superstitious for my tastes.
Btw...Satanism has nothing to do with devil-worshipping. You needn't worry about that either.

I read the website. The Satanist sounds like a archetypal fun-loving modern intellectual, with a bit of yippie-suave and extra room in closet for magic wands and robes.

Not funny.
Anyways, I don't mean to say that my faith is weak, but it's not as strong as I would like it to be. ( I wnat it to be so strong I can say to a mountain move and it will move)
Also I see no reason for looking at something that I know will be a waste of time because I will completely dissagree with them anyways.

You honestly think youll be able to move a mountain with enough faith? Gotta love the Christian fundies who take the bible literally.

I don't care much for her either actually. It's not the fact that she stands up for what she believes in... its' what she beieves in that scares me. She's a lunatic in my opinion.

Lol, Lokideviuk, you just took "seven days" literaly in another forum. What's wrong?
And may be I wasn't refering to moving actual mountains, either? Hm. I know that I was referring to the quote, but mountains...
Anyways, nothing is impossible with God.
