Would you want him on your team?

I am going to miss him, being the huge Cub's fan that I am. It will take some getting used to...but hopefully its for the best.

Sammy Sosa is a clubhouse cancer. He was the most beloved athlete in Chicago since that Jordan guy. His bad attitude and the cheating has soured the entire city and organization against him. We wont even mention the fact that since his rookie year he has put on about 50 pounds of muscle, most of which was miraculously attained in one offseason of "intense" workouts. *cough* **steroids** *cough* Ummmm-hmmmm......excuse me, had something in my throat. :D

you know, he's a big part of the cubbies. it'll take a while to get used to not seeing him as a cub.
but, just like i feel about randy moss, when you lose focus of the #1 priority (what's best for the team), it's time to move on. good luck to him; let's get someone in there that wants to play.

He wasn't happy with the Cubs, so as far as I am concerned, the Orioles can have him !!

I'm of the opinion that a change of scenery is often a good thing. He may very well be in decline, so he'll only be a good outfielder instead of a great outfielder for the next couple years. Considering the price the O's paid for him, (a spare 2nd basemen and two minor leaguers) nobody lost. It still would have been better for them to try a little harder for a starting pitcher instead of wasting time and energy on Delgado. How many 1st basemen do they need?

Yeah, I can't belive that he only hit about .250 last season. The Cubs probably would have made the playoffs if he could have gotten his average up some and provided better offense.
